A selection of apparel designs from over the years

Monstercat Uncaged 10

This limited edition apparel collection celebrated the release of Monstercat's Uncaged Vol. 10 music compilation. The original album artwork was a digital painting of a sabretooth tiger's skeleton encased in ice at the top of a frozen mountain range. My challenge was to adapt these digital paintings in a way that was both trendy and practical for print.

Below is a selection of my best-selling designs from past Monstercat Uncaged apparel collections. Monstercat Uncaged is the label’s darker side: it’s typically bass-driven and heavy-hitting music. During this time, I was in charge of overseeing the entire creative side of the merchandise team, from initial creative direction to product design, to marketing collateral.

Designed in 2018, the Cornerstone collection was among my and Monstercat’s very first entirely custom apparel release. Instead of designing graphics to fit on pre-existing wholesale garments, I had to account for every detail - labels, notions (buttons, zippers, etc.), trims, fabrics, and the fit of every single garment. This collection played with a number of streetwear trends of the time: colour-blocking, arm taping, extra-long men’s tees, intricate embroidery, and varsity jackets.

Below is a selection of my best-selling designs from past Monstercat Instinct apparel collections. Monstercat Instinct is the radio-friendly, pop-infused side of the label’s music. During this time, I was in charge of overseeing the entire creative side of the merchandise team, from initial creative direction to product design, to marketing collateral.
